On September 15 and 16, a delegation from the Regional Government of Extremadura, led by Guillermo Santamaría Galdón, Minister of Economy, Employment and Digital Transformation, visited Anhui Province and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) of Anhui, establishing an institutionalized cooperation platform.

On the afternoon of September 15, the delegation visited the Anhui CCPIT, and both parties held a symposium. Yang Zheng, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Anhui CCPIT, welcomed the delegation and introduced the characteristics of the province and its industrial development.
Minister Santamaria presented Extremadura's location advantages, key industries, and investment opportunities, and shared success stories of Chinese new energy companies already cooperating in the region.
At the end of the meeting, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding which establishes cooperation in areas such as the digital economy, new energies, healthcare, culture and education, and sustainable development, as well as permanent mechanisms for the exchange of delegations, promotion of multisectoral cooperation, and regular communication.
Company visits
During its stay in Hefei, the delegation visited companies such as Ankai Automobile y Anhui Jiexun Optoelectronic, maintaining a deep exchange on investment, cooperation, and business expansion abroad, moving the dialogue from the meeting table to the production line.
- Wuhu: immersion in the automotive supply chain and concrete results
On September 16, the delegation traveled to Wuhu, where it visited Chery Group and auxiliary companies, toured the production plants and participated in a business matchmaking session.

Wuhu is a key hub of Anhui's automotive industry. Chery Group, a Chinese benchmark in automotive internationalization, has led passenger car brand exports from China for years and maintains a firm commitment to new energy vehicles and smart connectivity. The companies visited cover complete vehicle manufacturing, thermal management systems, and automotive safety systems.
Wuhu leaders met with the delegation and exchanged views on deepening economic and trade cooperation. Wuhu's automotive enterprises and the delegation explored avenues for collaboration in component supply, two-way trade, and cross-border projects, reaching multiple cooperation intents.
Both parties will focus their cooperation on new energy vehicles and renewable energies.

In recent years, economic and trade exchanges between Anhui and Spain have intensified; in particular, during the fourth CISCE in June, the delegation from Navarre actively participated in Anhui's activities with fruitful results, setting a precedent for local cooperation between Anhui and Spain.
Extremadura (Spain)
