On July 14, 2026, ICEX Spain held the presentation of the report Chinese FDI in Spain: Global Outlook 2026. Attending the event were the Chinese Ambassador to Spain, Mr. Yao Jing; the Deputy Director General for Europe, Asia, and Oceania of the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Business, Ms. Laura Jarillo Carrasco; the Executive Director of ICEX, Ms. Micaela Arias; and other representatives.

Yao expressed his congratulations on the publication of the report and praised the efforts made by ICEX and all parties involved to promote investment cooperation between China and Spain. Likewise, he expressed his desire that the report's conclusions be fully utilized to strengthen policy communication, foster information exchange, and provide a useful reference for business decision-making, thereby boosting greater bilateral investment cooperation.

Yao pointed out that China and Spain are comprehensive strategic partners, and that economic and trade cooperation between the two countries continues to deepen, with fruitful results and steady growth in reciprocal investment. The Chinese side hopes that Spain will continue to optimize its business environment, deepen ongoing dialogue between the government and the business sector, and work together with all sectors to promote the realization of more mutually beneficial projects, injecting new impetus into China-Spain economic and trade cooperation, the stability of China-European Union relations, and sustainable development globally.
