Spain and Sichuan strengthen ties in sustainable and smart construction

On August 18, a Spanish delegation held a working meeting with representatives of the Sichuan Architectural Design Institute, Co., Ltd. (SADI) at the entity's headquarters in Chengdu. The meeting was chaired by Gao Jing, chairwoman and secretary of SADI's Party Committee.

Gao Jing welcomed the visitors and thanked the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment for facilitating this space for dialogue. During his speech, he presented SADI's main business lines and most emblematic projects, and underlined the company's commitment to the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as the group's internationalization strategy, which positions overseas markets as a new growth engine.

For its part, the Spanish delegation presented the current situation of the participating companies, their industrial structure, and the strategic projects they are developing. Both parties held an in-depth discussion on prefabricated architecture and urban development, and reached a consensus to strengthen cooperation in advanced areas such as green construction and smart building.

The meeting was moderated by Jiang Yongjie, vice president of SADI. Also in attendance were representatives of Spanish companies; Chen Maqun, president of the China-Spain Exchange and Promotion Association; Bai Hua, delegate for Southwest China of the Association of Chinese Multinational Corporations; representatives of Beijing Hualian SKP; as well as Zhang Bin, chief financial officer of SADI, Suo Qifeng, assistant to the president, and the head of the Third Design Institute of SADI.
